Stop Tap Adaptors

The Melco Stop-tap Adaptor has been designed to enable the installation of concentric water meters into existing stop taps without the need of excavating or fitting of meter boxes. The unique adjustable flow tube enables the ‘Adaptor’ to be fitted to old and new stop taps as the flow tube automatically adjusts to correspond to the seat of the receiving stop tap without the need to turn off the mains water supply.

To accompany the Stop Tap Adaptor, MWM produce a two piece arrangement of operating keys suitable for standard, shallow installations. Where the meter install is slightly deeper we can supply a key extension.

The Melco Bobbin is used in conjunction with the Melco Stop Tap Adaptor when the headwork of the stop tap has been removed in the event that the Melco adaptor cannot be fitted. The Bobbin is installed as a temporary measure to ensure that the water supply to the customer is not interrupted and the urgency to fit a boundary box is eliminated.
